Co-Chair Jennifer Ballentine, MA, is Vice President of Hospice Analytics, a national research and data analysis organization whose mission is to improve hospice utilization and access to quality end-of-life care through analysis of Medicare and other national datasets. She is also President of The Iris Project, an end-of-life consulting and education initiative. She previously served as Executive Director of Life Quality Institute and Director of Programs for the Colorado Center for Hospice & Palliative Care. Jennifer has participated in many collaborative projects with state and national organizations around end-of-life decision making, advance care planning, hospice and palliative care, and healthcare ethics, including the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization Education Committee, the Center for Improving Value in Health Care Palliative Care Taskforce, the Colorado Healthcare Ethics Forum, and the Colorado Senior Lobby. Jennifer holds a BA from Oberlin College, an MA in end-of-life studies from Regis University, and a professional advancement certificate in Gerontology from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
